The Riverfront Club at The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain is looking forward to hosting a one-day Jim Ryun Running Camp on Saturday, August 13 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Ryun's unique workshops are geared toward developing the total runner – physically, mentally and spiritually. The cost is $100 for Riverfront Club Members and $125 for the public. The Riverfront Club will donate 50% of proceeds from the event to Walking Mountains, a Vail Valley environmental sciences center.

After setting several world records as a Kansas high school and college track star, Ryun was a member of the 1964, 1968 and 1972 Olympic teams, taking home a silver medal in the 1964 Games in the 1,500 meter race.

Titled “Realizing Your Dreams,” the August 13th Riverfront Club Jim Ryun Running Camp will cover:

• Short-term and long-term goal setting for future success
• Healthy stretching to help avoid senseless injuries
• Strength training – how to race faster and keep your infrastructure strong
• How to improve your running efficiency and race performance

To sign up or for more information on membership at the Riverfront Club, please call (970)790-2051 or email wschick@westinriverfront.com. A special room rate at The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa is available for attendees, starting at $199 per night for a studio suite. Contact reservations at (970) 790-2000, reference code SETRIVCL.
