The television pictures that are beamed to the world throughout the two weeks of the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail and Beaver Creek will be provided by an internationally recognized industry leader as EUROVISION has been named as the official Host Broadcaster of the 2015 World Championships.

Under the recently-signed agreement with the Vail/Beaver Creek Organizing Committee, Eurovision Production Coordination (EPC), the European Broadcasting Union’s (EBU) production company, will build an ambitious broadcast installation to provide an international signal in High Definition for all events for all rights holders.

“We are extremely pleased to have EUROVISION as a key partner in bringing the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and Vail and Beaver Creek to the world,” explained Ceil Folz, president of the Vail Valley Foundation and head of the 2015 World Championships Organizing Committee. “Their expertise is unparalleled and we look forward to working together to capture all of the excitement and festivities, both on and off the racecourses.”

A team of 200 broadcast professionals will join EPC in establishing and manning more than 100 camera positions on Vail and Beaver Creek Mountains. The Host Broadcasting agreement completes a hat trick of open tender contracts that the EBU has secured in relation to the 2015 World Championships, also holding separate agreements for the worldwide media rights, along with the marketing rights.

“We are very happy to be the Host Broadcaster for the 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships as it’s a win-win for all involved in the sport of skiing,” offered EBU Director of Sports and Business Stefan Kuerten. “After our successful production of the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Moscow this year, we will deliver another top quality production that will be seen by a worldwide audience.”

Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the EBU is the world's foremost alliance of public service media organizations, with members in 56 countries in Europe and beyond.

Scheduled from February 2-15 of 2015, the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail and Beaver Creek are expected to showcase athletes from over 70 nations, with an estimated 750 million worldwide television viewers and an onsite media and broadcast entourage of approximately 1,500 members.
