EagleVail pool opens Friday with new manager
Susanna Morgan, of Gypsum, has been hired as the manager of EagleVail's solar-heated outdoor pool. Morgan grew up swimming in Alaska, and graduated from Colorado State University in 2005. She has been working for the Western Eagle County Metropolitan Recreation District for the past five years as the Aquatics Director, coordinating all aquatics programming and special events.
“I am extremely excited to begin working with the EagleVail community as the Pool Manager,” exclaimed Morgan. “I look forward to getting to know the community, building upon the existing programs and creating new ones – and to having a safe and fun summer!”
EagleVail opened its new pool and picnic area last season and anticipates growing dynamic swim team, lessons, and aquatic programs.
“Susanna is just the person to take us to the next level with our lessons, special events and growing community involvement with the pool,” offered Jeff Layman, EagleVail's Community Manager. Layman has played a large role in EagleVail's revitalization efforts and helped oversee the development and construction of the new pool.
“We have established a great menu of activities at our new pool, and Susanna has all the background to build on this foundation. We are really pleased to welcome her aboard,” said Layman.
