Jakob Dylan takes to Solaris stage for free Vail Snow Daze show

Vail Snow Daze turns it up a notch Friday with a free headliner concert from Jakob Dylan and Band with opener Zach Heckendorf at Solaris in Vail Village.

Friday's events will also include the Snow Daze Expo Village at the Base of the Vista Bahn, the Cadillac Experience in Solaris Plaza and après and after-dark parties presented by Bud Light.

Dylan is known as a soulful and sublime singer with a distinct voice and an unparalleled songwriting style. Russ Pollard, Jason Soda and Eli Thomason from the Los Angeles-based band Everest will join him on stage Friday night.

Opening for Dylan will be Denver-based up-and-comer Heckendorf. The concert venue at Solaris will open at 6 p.m. Friday evening and the music will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Friday's schedule of events also includes après and after-dark parties presented by Bud Light:

· 4:30-6:30 p.m. – Bud Light Après Party at Bob's Place, Avon

· 4:30-6:30 p.m. – Bud Light Après Party at The Red Lion, Vail Village

· Following the concert – Bud Light Post Party at Samana, Vail Village

Attendees of the après and after-dark parties can expect specials on Bud Light and lots of free giveaways.

The Snow Daze Expo Village will be at the base of the Vista Bahn on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., featuring brand expos from Maui Jim, Sprint, Muscle Milk, Helly Hansen, MATADOR® Beef Jerky and more. The Cadillac Experience will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Solaris Plaza, where guests can check out the latest from Cadillac.

Vail Snow Daze is the winter kick-off festival in Vail that includes a week of non-stop headliner concerts, nightly parties and more. Taking place this year Dec. 5-11, the lineup of entertainment for Vail SnowDaze includes free headliner concerts from Yukon Kornelius, Jakob Dylan and Band, Guster, The Polish Ambassador, Lit, Zach Heckendorf, The White Buffalo and DJ Mo: Rockin.
