The lineup of live entertainment and events at Vail Snow Daze, the annual festival to celebrate the start of winter, will ramp up today with a free concert at Solaris in Vail Village from alternative rockers Guster.

Guster will take the stage this evening for a show that is sure to keep the crowds warm even as the temperatures drop. Opening for Guster will be folk rock band The White Buffalo.

Guster is known for putting on a rockin' live show punctuated with hits and plenty of humor. The quartet has toured with such luminaries as the Dave Matthews Band, Bob Dylan and the Barkenaked Ladies and their show is sure to include songs from their newest album, Easy Wonderful.

The concert venue at Solaris will open at 6 p.m. and the music will begin at 6:30 p.m.

In addition to the concert, today's schedule of events includes the Yukon Kornelius Pub Crawl presented by Bud Light from 4-7 p.m. The Yukon Kornelius Pub Crawl, happening at The Club, The George and Vendetta's, will give attendees the chance to earn a free Bud Light at the Guster concert by stopping by all three of the pub crawl locations and collecting all of the Yukon Kornelius themed gear.

All redeemed Yukon Kornelius Pub Crawl beer vouchers will be entered into a drawing for a pair of Liberty skis at the Guster concert at Solaris, which will happen before 8 p.m. For full details on the Yukon Kornelius Pub Crawl and drawing, visit the FAQ page at www.vail.com/snowdaze.

Vail Snow Daze is the winter kick-off festival in Vail that includes a week of non-stop headliner concerts, nightly parties and more. Taking place this year Dec. 5-11, the lineup of entertainment for Vail SnowDaze includes free headliner concerts from Yukon Kornelius, Jakob Dylan and Band, Guster, The Polish Ambassador, Lit, Zach Heckendorf, The White Buffalo and DJ Mo:Rockin.
