Citizens for Eagle County Schools urging voter registration, yes vote on 3B

Citizens for Eagle County Schools, a nonprofit group made up of Eagle County parents and residents, is holding a voter registration rally ahead of the Oct.3 voter registration deadline.

Over the past two years, due to state and federal funding cuts, the Eagle County School District has lost $9 million in funding and is financially struggling. On Nov. 1, the Eagle County Board of Education is asking voters to invest in the future and local children by supporting a mill levy override known as ballot measure 3B.

In order to vote on this critical issue, Citizens for Eagle County Schools is asking eligible voters to register and confirm mail-in ballot status online at www.GoVoteColorado.com. The Nov. 1 county-wide election is mail-in only.

The Eagle County School District has made great strides in closing the achievement gap, is nationally recognized for their pay for performance program, and achievement scores across the board are above average.

In addition, the district has recently implemented a rigorous curriculum program that meets Colorado's new standards and rivals nationwide student expectations.

Join the Citizens for Eagle County Schools by registering to vote, voting in favor of 3B, and showing support on the website at www.yeson3b.com.
