The Beaver Creek Music Experience continues in August, featuring the rock-blues sounds from performer Chris Duarte. The show date has been moved and Duarte now will be performing on Thursday, Aug. 23 to coincide with the USA Pro Cycling Challenge Stage 4 mountaintop finish being held in Beaver Creek that day.

The Chris Duarte show will begin at 5 p.m. on the ice rink in Beaver Creek Village, following the Stage 4 finish and it will be free and open to the public.

“Beaver Creek's theme for the Pro Cycling Challenge is ‘the World is our Stage' and moving the date of Chris Duarte's show allows us to showcase the Beaver Creek Music Experience and the new level of musical talent we've brought in to a much larger audience,” said Tim Baker, executive director of Beaver Creek Resort Company. “We're incredibly excited to host the Stage 4 mountain top finish of the bike race and the top cyclists in the world, along with the teams, support staff and race fans who will experience Beaver Creek's warm hospitality in a lively celebration.”

Along with the date shift, the August Beaver Creek Music Experience concert is free and open to the public. A refund will be issued for those who purchased tickets for the Chris Duarte show.

The Beaver Creek Music Experience concludes with its Grand Concert event on Saturday, Sept. 8. Great American Taxi who marks its sixth year as one of the best-known headliners on the Americana music scene takes the stage featuring their signature upbeat, country-, bluegrass-, rock-infused, Americana-without-borders feel.

The Soul Rebels, called “the missing link between Public Enemy and Louis Armstrong” by the Village Voice, combine top notch musicianship and songs with grooves that celebrate life in time-honored New Orleans style. Headliner Dr. John, a recent inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, brings his infectious jazz and popular music sound to the Beaver Creek stage for the finale. Tickets for the Sept. 8 show are $50 for VIP seating and $30 for general admission lawn seating.
