Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series kicks off Sunday

The Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series kicks off Sunday in Beaver Creek's Creekside Park. The Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series draws first-time snowshoers, world-class snowshoe athletes, kids of all ages and everyone in between.

On-site registration and check in for the event will begin at 9 a.m. in Beaver Creek Village, with the race beginning promptly at 11 a.m. in Creekside Park. The first event, and every event within the series, will include the East West Resorts 5K Quest, Cadillac 10K and Larkburger Kids 1K.

The event will also feature slope-side sponsor expos from Atlas Snow-Shoe Company and Columbia Sportswear as well as post-event parties with lunch from Dusty Boot Steakhouse & Saloon and lots of giveaways. Dates for the other events of the Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series are Sunday, Feb. 5 and Sunday, March 11.

The series pass is available for just $85 until Sunday and includes a complimentary Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series participant gift from Columbia Sportswear. Registration for the series pass is available online through 5 p.m. Saturday or on site Sunday in Beaver Creek.

Single event pre-registration is available online for just $30 and closes at 5 p.m. the night prior to each event. Event-day registration is available for $35 and will take place in Beaver Creek starting at 9 a.m. prior to each event.

The Larkburger Kids 1K for children 12 years-of-age and younger is free for any child accompanied by a participating parent. Online registration, as well as detailed event information, is available at www.bcsnowshoe.com.

Atlas Snow-Shoe Company will provide a limited number of free snowshoe demos and basic instruction to participants prior to the event at the event start area. In addition, the Beaver Creek Nordic Center will provide a limited number of snowshoe rentals. All snowshoes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Beaver Creek Snowshoe Adventure Series is presented by The Beaver Creek Resort Company, Cadillac, Columbia Sportswear, Atlas Snow-Shoe Company and Clif Bar and presented in part by East West Resorts, Larkburger, Rocky Mountain Reprographics, The Dusty Boot Steakhouse & Saloon, TV8, Vail Daily and KZYR The Zephyr.
