The Town of Vail is asking community members who plan to attend the Gerald Gallegos memorial service at the Ford Amphitheater at 1 p.m. Saturday to park in the Vail Village parking structure. Shuttle buses will be used to transport attendees to and from the event. The Ford Park lots will be closed to parking throughout the weekend to accommodate the Scott Firefighter Combat Challenge.

The Gallegos memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Ford Amphitheater with gates opening at noon. Two buses will be running from the top deck of the Village parking structure on the north side of the Visitor Information Center to transport passengers to and from the service. The buses will run from 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

In the event the Vail Village parking structure fills, the South Frontage Road will be released for overflow parking.

For more information, contact Mike Rose, Town of Vail parking and transit manager, at 479-2349.
