Parking at Ford Park put on hold for Vail Snow Daze

By Real Vail
December 6, 2011
Beginning at 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 through 6 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13 the Ford Park and Soccer Field parking lots will be closed to accommodate the free Snow Daze concert at Ford Park.

Parking options for all pink parking pass holders will include use of the Vail Village or LionsHead structures during the closure. Pass holders will need to scan their cards into the validation equipment as they enter and exit the structures.

The Snow Daze free concert line up includes Yukon Kornelius with opener Lit on Saturday at Ford Park, plus concerts in Vail Village on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Visit www.vail.com/snowdaze for details.

Bus service will be provided to and from Ford Park before and after Saturday's concert. No vehicle drop-off or pick-up locations will be available from the South Frontage Road for Ford Park. Also, motorists may encounter delays on the South Frontage Road between Vail Valley Drive and the Pulis Bridge/Golf Course area during those times. Traffic control will be provided before, during and after the concert. Motorists are asked to exercise caution while driving in this area.

Overflow parking will be allowed in designated areas on the north side of South Frontage Road if both the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures fill to capacity. Motorists are asked to refer to variable message signs for current parking information.
